Abstract The stability control of suspension density is an important means to ensure the quality fine coal in dense medium separation (DMS) process. This paper focuses on tracking issue a non‐uniform sampling and networked environment, proposes multi‐rate event trigger design method. Firstly, lifting technique identification method are adopted establish model. Secondly, event‐triggered predictive (MEPC) algorithm proposed reduce waste communication resources performance. Furthermore, by using Kalman filter eliminate effects noise developing compensation mechanism predict lost data, robust MEPC (RMEPC) further for imperfect data actual production Finally, hardware‐in‐the‐loop simulation experiments with parameters preparation plant have been carried out, showing effectiveness
